Extremely Low-Profile Tunable Multiport Handset Antenna

This article presents an extremely low-profile tunable antenna design for smartphones with height of only 0.75 mm. The proposed is integrated into the back cover device to utilize existing gap between battery and as efficiently possible. By utilizing both components adjustable feeding weights, designed multiport system covers 3300–4200 MHz frequency range 100 instantaneous bands. In addition just tuning, these elements can be utilized adapt different operation environments, such changes in structure or user effect. We show that extended two- four-element multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) operation. manufactured measured, results confirm good performance average total efficiencies 35% 25% free space a hand phantom, respectively.
